I Pulled the Dog Card

During, my fourth interview at Edelman, this time the XBox team, I couldn't help but play up owning a dog. I either get two reactions: 1) "Oh, that's great..." 2) "Aww, what kind of dog?" This time I got the ladder. Sometimes I feel awkward for bringing up, 'cos I don't want to look obsessed with my dog, but I sure do love having one. I mean, during a job interview, it shows maturity, being responsible and independent. At least, that's how I'd like people to view it. More often than not, I try not to burden with conservation of my beast.

Some people just don't understand why some choose to re-prioritize their life for an animal. It's like people who love working retail--I just don't get them. But in the end, your choices are yours alone.
